Stringer Shelves

Sometimes all-out bookcases, “built in’ or free standing, aren’t called for- either because of expense, by limited space, or…. just because. DWC makes a shelfing system with simple wall stud attached stringers and with notched shelves resting on cantilevered hangers. If you’re worried about strength, just look at all the books on these with zero concerns! It allows for a custom look- and can be decorated/carved, or left with a minimalist look.

They’re 100% plywood, though a nice selection of marine grade ply made for the custom yacht industry. The edges are either dressed or banded, and you’d have to open an investigation to discover they’re not solid wood. Ply is actually preferred over solid wood for these- because of less expense, because of strength to weight ratio, and because they won’t twist, warp, bend or separate over time. This means a product that looks like $$$$ arrives at $$ with uncompromised quality.

These sure provided this former ‘kids’ room with framework for a nice study, no? …. custom fabricated and installed for less than $1500.
